Are you people kidding me? Like I get it that you don't believe the same stuff as Christians but the hate christianity as a whole gets in NSG is just unwarranted. Whether you agree with their worldview or not, MOST christians are genuinely good people, the racist thing is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.

while einstein is einstein and stuff, but the church and the pope didnt do anything right in WWII and during the third reich. actually far away from that.

there is still some sort of ongoing debate in austria and germany on that topic.

what about the jews that were hiding in christian peoples homes? what about the churches that hid jews?
 
religion was used in support of and in opposition to the nazis. there were good and bad people across the religious spectrum. Atheistic communists also killed millions of people in the 20th century. Religious beliefs and lack there of don't automatically correlate with a person acting in good or bad ways.
 
well that wasnt exactly what i was getting at...i was talking about how religion did kind of stand in the way of what hitler was trying to do.
 
i dont think you can say it was religion though. There are people who have done good things throughout the ages regardless of contemporary religions. Religion is just incidental to the virtue of humanity.
 
I think they were definitely influenced by it. I just don't believe it's the source of virtue.
 
maybe Jesus has already 'come again'. He revealed himself to congregation of christians in America who promptly lynched him on suspicion of terrorism.
 
Not sure if this has been said yet, but the fact that you went this far out of your way to hate on a religious person makes you at least as bad as people who shove their religion in others' faces.

a lot of people dont understand, being raised catholic is almost like your herritage or ethnicity. its deeply engrained into your life regardless of how religious or devout you really are. probably about 90% of catholics i know stop going to church after they recieve confirmation, and until then they only went because their parents made them. and thats because their parents made them and etc. im not sure what im really trying to get at here but i felt the need to explain that not everyone who associates with religion is a fundamentalist which it seems alot of you on here tend to think
