Christians cult?

No if u life good!! No matter if u believed in God... I believe and u gan take me on this one, but do u really believe that all the heavy believers who are so hard on non-believers and on there family etc. That they will go to heaven and a non believer who lives good not?? If God is like that, I dont want to know him.

just read that again coincidentaly... Take care of your own garden :P

and to this guy:

" Christianity has never done any significant good for the world, only bad. God is gay

"

Ha.. Haha.. BWAAAAhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. rrrrright.

Hey, guess what everybody, the maker of this thread didn't ask for your opinions and probably doesnt care! He wanted a simple invite, got it, drop it.

why do people keep saying that? fate is another word for believing.

If I were to ask, "Why do you believe God exists?"

and you said, "because I have faith."

how on EARF does that make any sense? that seems to be the only reason millions of people on this earth can come up with. It isnt even a reason, its just redundently repeating the question and trying to play it off as an answer. This is why I don't believe in religion.

plus I like the idea of rotting in the ground after I die. I dont want to live in some heaven or anything. I dont want to exist at all, be it physically or in a concious state of awareness.

hahaha how do people still believe in jesus

i mean shit guys they found his fucking body thus destroying the whole religon

christianity is a joke

power to you if you beleive in it but i really dont understand how people would believe in some random dude resurecting him self from death then being all holy n shit rather than science and the straight facts

They did NOT find any bones, they found 10 Ossuaries.

An ossuary is used to hold the body for 100 days before the body is interred. The box once held someone named Jesus. There is DNA left behind of course, but the actual body was buried en masse a long time ago. It may already have been dug up during other excavations and re-buried in an unnamed gravesite.

The releveance of the ossuaries was that the family unit included a hebrew man Josef, a hebrew woman Mary identified as the wife of Josef, a hebrew man Jesus identified as the son of Josef, a greek woman Mary (Mary Magdelene was supposed to have been greek), a hebrew man James identified as the son of Josef and a hebrew child Jude identified as the son of Jesus. These were all very common names at the time of Jesus' supposed life but having all of them together at once makes it a 1 in 600 chance that it isn't the biblical Jesus.

The discovery makes the argument that Jesus was a normal human, who spoke in parable of his "father" God, (who if he did/does exist would be of course the father of us all)

Jesus very well could have had a child by Mary Magdeline, referred to in the bible as the "blessed apostle" at the last supper who sat in Jesus lap. (cause it'd be weird if that was a full grown man.)

There are plenty of gods, and if you have faith in one to help you through the day then bully for you.

Conversely, if you are comfortable living without some great unknowable then bully for you too.

hahaha, ok MATH TIME (aw hell no). so, take the death toll from all of those, and then compair it to the death toll of whoever the hell knows how many people have died because of religion (if they were for or against it). i think the conclusion should be pretty evident.

heres alittle tidbit, 51 days of this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waco_Siege

now abviously the way this was dealt with probably was the greatest but.......

im not for or against religion, in my 16 years on this earth (from what i remember) ive never realy been someone who agrees that there is one way to do somthing and that its the only way; or for that matter that theres a single entity that knows all, loves all and sees all, and that determins everything that is and will be. I clearly cant comprehend every situation in the known world, but religion....... its just not for me

You can prove the existence of Jesus, and you can prove that he died and reappeared 3 days later. That's fact. Everything else though surrounding Christianity is all about faith. That's why it's called faith.

yeah me to.its not like i dont like religious people,i couldent care less what they beleive in but personally i dont think one guy that lived thousands of years ago is that big of a deal.

Yep, read that book in February this year. Now that it's been a year I'm pretty much against organized religion in general, but I still believe in God. But if you don't choose to believe go ahead. Watch the south park episode about that mormon kid who moves to their town. The very last couple lines talk about how even though Stan might think that the mormon religion is a ton of BS their principles have created a happy family and nice successful kids.

If you do believe in God (to the thread creator and yes, I know it's been a year), then you should be able to ask Him and he will show you the correct way, or the way best suited for you.

alright. if you can somehow magically prove that they did in fact find Jesus himself body.... which you really cant.

this is gonna turn into a big who believes what religion discussion.t.. but it really should just end here.  no one is ever gonna come to an agreement on the never ending battle of science vs. religion....  so i don't understand why we dwell on it so much.  if having god to pray to and loook forward to in death makes you happy than good for you, and if you'd rather be athiest or just somewhere in between or not really even care.  than wtf... who cares.. !?  religion is obviously something thats very powerful and spiritual for a person.. so i don't think thAT it should be taken away just because science proves otherwise.  and vice versa too.. cause for a lot of people science is religion.  anyways...

its a no win battle here..

pretty sure he's refering to whoever made up the rules and wrote them down.

hey can i get an invite into the christians cult too? i looooveeeeee religion

i dont know about everyone else, but i would much rather believe that someone, such as God, made the earth and everything in it and our universe, etc... than BANG - everything came out of abso-fucking-lutely nothing. how can science prove indefinitely that our world was BANGED into existence?

Those don't disprove God's existence per se, if anything they cast doubt on his actions.

Why science must be irreligious and even have a mandate to go against religion is beyond me.

i find it better believing that we are just the same as everything else. not just something that god desided he should make and in 7 days BAM theres the universe. i cant answer how to prove i the big bang but to me it just seems more likely than god creating it

we are all the same. i didnt say we were different.

but anyways, to each his own, bro...

can you please prove that to me because I highly doubt there is any physical evidence of his resserction other than the bible?

Read the last post I made...I don't think it matters. I just feel more comfortable believing that you don't turn into dust when you die.

let me make one thing clear i am not trying to offend anyone and make enemy's

for me it is much easer to believe that GOD exists, than to wander around and not have any sense of why i am here and where i am going..

no no dont get me wrong i respect your decision and point of view.

and i am not the type of "Christian" who shoves the Bible down your throat and tries to convert people.

i think we can agree to disagree on the subject of "Religion"

peace out and hopefully see you on the hill
