Its kind of hard when religion shoves his dogma in society's face everyday. When it violates even the most basic of human rights that any kind of thinking person can realize and has a say in our political system.

This is an incredibly dumb argument/analogy, but the easiest response to it that I've seen is that the idea of 'mom' would be testable and verifiable whereas the idea of god is not.

your right it cant be confermed, unless/until you go to heaven then it is proven to you but you cant tell the world, just like the fetus' they cant prove mom exist untill the meet mom.
 
wild dmt trip = a dream. the amount of dmt released at the time of death is much larger than the amount released in the average "10% of your sleep" dream. i fucking love thinking about this since there is no way to prove what happens during that trip, but it is proven to exist. IMO the human body is just a shell for the limitless mind, so who knows where that trip will take you. the way i see it, that dmt trip could be a new "reality" and your mind would eventually adapt to that environment.

i don't really care if anyone follows up on this, i just wanted to put my point of view out there...

they actually can confirm they are in their moms stomach pretty easily, by feeling the umbilical cord and the walls around them. We can't prove candy land doesn't exists or that the greek gods don't exist so why is a man who lives in the sky and listens to everybody's thoughts at once more plausible? Because some nomadic herdsmen wrote an extremely barbaric book in the bronze age? Candy land sounds more plausible to me.
 
Also, fuck OP for assuming a god means christianity. Why would you pick one of the newest and most destructive religions to represent monotheism?

This. I'm not a huge religious freak (nor am i really religious at all) but there is a very huge difference between them all. and just because someone says "god" doesn't mean christian. pig headed OP thinks his religion is the only one
