I heard some christian music today, it was actually kinda tight. bands like thousand foot krutch, pillar, relient k, and grits. what do you guys think?

I dunno, i would say not because I've heard of them before. but maybe, I've heard a few songs by them and they seem kinda religious, but Creed's songs weren't as good as the stuff I heard today.

I also really like stuff like Switchfoot, Blindside, Justifide, Philmore, Nifty Tom Fifty, and Last Tuesday. all of that stuff is good stuff. I listen to christian music because it sounds good to me. mainly that's it, I might listen to some of the lyrics, but it's not like I only listen to christian music. I just like stuff with a positive message instead of being all stupid about knockin' up people, and getting wasted, I don't find that positive. but I'm glad you all somewhat listen to that kind of stuff, it's cool.

MXPX is definetly a christian band but they don't sing about it a lot. if you don't believe me listen to 'he found me' hhhmmmm.... i wonder what that is talking about

Yep, MxPx are great, and if you actually listen to their lyrics it's pretty easy to pick. Creed are also christian rock, PAX217 are a fantastic band. And if you're up for some heavy stuff go for Project 86, they're tight, and Unashamed, better than Pantera or Sepulture by a long shot. And ski girl, how is any music not creative brainwashing? You dumb bitch, eat my balls.

switchfoot may not be a christian band, I saw their cds at a christian bookstore one time and I just assumed they were christian. I heard a band called Justifide not too long ago. they were sick. MxPx is awesome stuff. here's a question though...why don't more people listen to christian music? from what i've heard it's purty tight stuff and it doesn't preach to me...just curious I guess. cuz i never hear anything by pax217 on the radio and I don't know why.

i really don't have anything against christian music. i just got tired of MXPX and other bands i thought preached too much. if i'm going to become christian it won't be through music.

yeah, if you're going to get into a religion because a band told you to, you're probably pretty dumb. and most organized religions have already exceeded their dumb people quota... so why bother preaching? what good will it do?

yeah most of the above bands are or were on tooth and nail recs or their imprint lables like BEC or solidstate recs... they produced bands like mxpx, slick shoes, the juliana theory (saw them live last night, didnt really impress me, oh well), further seems forever, pod, project 86...and solidstate recs holds my favourite band of all time...stretch arm strong...cant say enough about these guys.

yea christian music is not brainwashing. all music is trying to convey a certain message, and some christian music is trying to convey a christian message, all music is 'branwashing' it is just 'brainwashing' you into different ideals.as for hip hop deepspace 5, mars ill, la symphony and lojique are all pretty good

that doesn't make them christian. just because they have a couple songs with religious references it doesn't mean that they are christian. Just look at the rest. No reference.

alot of bands start out on christian labels like tooth and nail because its real easy to get big in that market.. it helps alot to get recognition.
