Chopstick vs. EP Pro vs. SFB

i've heard that the bacons are fairly stiff, seemed that way whenever i flexed them, did they soften up after a few days?

ya this is the main reason i would not buy the EP they are great when its deep but when its sketchy conditions they blow, the arnt stiff enough or thick enough to handle crud and very steep harder snow so if you want a ski that will preform well when the snow is sketchy or its super steep i would go with next year lines the mothership or what ever its called that a true big mtn ski that will kill the shit out of anything

Most skis out there have to much rocker for anything other then Baker on a powder day. Once you hit the hard packed out traverse you will regret a soft rocker pow ski. Shure they are a lot of fun when there is more then a ft of fresh, but everywhere else they suck. If you are going to go rocker look for skis with a slight rocker, such as the Seth, Prophet 100, Mothership or such.

For a good powder ski that can rip it on the groomers and park get the huge trouble, the flex is definatly not to stiff and they have amazing float, but they won't fail you on the traverses. Plus they are fast as fuck. defiantly a good choice.

if that is the case go with the jp vs julien. super sick rockered ski. stiff and stable underfoot, camber underfoot. Enough sidecut to make it good to carve with any day. If you are looking simply for a stiff rockered ski, go chopstick.... if you want a stiff rockered ski that can actually turn and you can have fun on, go JP

I ride bacons, they're pretty good at everything, Great for Crud, trees, straightlinning at the resort, good in the park, great on groomers. Good for back country pow except not as good as a rockered ski in the pow obviously, Im trying to get rid of them in favor of the 179 hellbents. I would deffinetly recommend them if you dont see dick deep pow every day. For reference im 5'7" and 170lbs if that helps.
