Chops vs Seths

What up NS. I need some help here so if you could be so kind... Alright so I always believed that fatter skis and rockered skis were completely unnecessary for me considering I ski western NY but I just recently went to the shop that i work ats demo day which is basically just a ton of company's come out with there next year stuff and u just go at it for a day. I skied a ton of stuff but at the top of my list was the K2 Obsethed. Iv never been on a ski that was so much fun to ride. The rocker on the ski which is the 2010-2011 model is rediculous starts literaly in front of and behind the boot. Im lookin into those as my just play around ski and im lookin at other fatter, rockered skis in general. So i came across a real good deal on chopsticks but they are mad burly underfoot (128) and they might be a little much compared to the 110ish or so of next years Obsethed. Im not so much lookin for a super fat ski as much as a super rockered ski like the 2011 Obsethed.

I can get both of them in new condition or completed new for around the same price and I wanna know what you guys think in comparison to each other cause i wasnt able to demo both and maybe you guys might know some more info on them.

Thanks a ton,

i have this years seths and they are my favorite ski in my quiver. however theyre making a lot of changes to it for next year so take that as a grain of salt.

A LOT more rocker

next year's Seth is gonna have Pontoon rocker and be 117 (or close to that) underfoot so it won't be even close to as versatile as this year's

They don't have that much rocker, its 10/20 tip and tail. You do get a bit of tip flap at high speeds, and they tend to slap down on landings, but it doesn't affect anything really. They still carve and hold an edge really well. When the snow gets deep, the softer tips bend more, so the rocker feels more substantial, and gives the ski a more surfy feel. Next years seths seem like they will be a completely different ski.
