Chop Sticks

I ride the 185's, and I'm 5"7' and 160-ish pounds. For deep pow the Chopsticks are a blast. The flat camber and butt-loads of rocker make the ski very surfy and fun. The ski itself is on the stiffer side so it does well in crud and chop. That being said, the stiffness, flat camber and excess rocker make the ski squirrely in tight spaces, and there are times when I've been wishing for a more responsive, dexterous ski instead of a pow boat. Likewise, they don't have the pop you would desire when jumping off of things. They are pretty damp/dead. That being said I would give the skis a 7/10.

They score points for floating like a dreamboat in pow, having a nice symmetrical center mount, being able to handle crud.

They lose points for being unresponsive and damp.

I'm 6' 3" 200 so I guess a pretty big dude. If the chopstick came in a 195 I would have bought it over my 89 hellebents because my bents are just too soft especially in tahoe where I need a stiffer ski.
If you're a light dude then bents are a better choice and remember the 189 is actually a 194 and 179 is actually a 184 so just a heads up on ski sizing from k2.
In the end the chopstick is a Volkl and thus skis like one...
