Choosing new fat skis

Ok so I'm 5 foot 10/11 and 140 lbs. These skis are for powder, backcountry no rails maybe some jumps in the park. I ski at Mt Hood Meadows most of the time if that helps. My current skis are 169 fujatives and I ride those hard and ski with racers a lot of the time. Also I often ski on my dad's 186 assassin mtx pro's. So i love soft skis just want something to get through crud and little better and to be a bit longer, do some cliffs, trees, and backcountry. So my prime choices are Lizzies , Sir Francis Bacon's, and the Rory Silva Pro. I'm pretty set on those choices and used to board so kinda miss some things about how that handled.

Like the Rory's are ever gonna be made... ha.

I'd say go for the Rossignol Scratch BC WRSs. Great all mountain ski... but definitely wide enough to hold it's own in the pow. It'll punch through crud but isn't exceptionally stiff.

wow think those are just a little huge, I really like the idea of the eliptical sidecut and the rory's seem like that but if any ski without it it'd be the jp's which might just have to go for, but still really like the idea of the lines or rory's.

im 5'10, 170 and i just ordered a pair of bacons, i was kinda looking for a ski to do the same things as you. i was going to get the vcts but then i shifted to the elizabeth/bacon calling. i finally settled on the bacons, because i just wanted a little longer ski then the elizabeths. obviously i havent gotten them yet, but when i do ill let you know how they preform

Look 120 is not a binding for advanced skiing. Since youre thinking about performance in the par etc. I dont think youve ment to put trekkers in them, right?

That means you can chose among all the higher performace bindings on the market.

Just some suggestions:

Look P18 - light

FKS 155/185 - light

Salomon 916/920 - My favourite binding, a bit heavy though

Marker m18/20/30 - No, theres nothing wrong with marker.

I honestly don't thi nk i need more than a 12 or 14 din binding right now i ride at a 8 in front and 9 in rear on my fuji's, lizzies just seem to twitchy to ski how i want and 100's aren't as easy switch so bacons look like the perfect middle ground.

depends what u plan on using them for. if its for some bc, powder cliffs ect along with a big of all around go 178. BUT you could easily handle the 188. im only just bigger than you and i love mine. they dont feel they long since there light so u can throw em around pretty easy. basically go 188 unless u want to get a shorter ski for versatility reasons. If its for just BC stuff 188 for sure.
