Choose Tripod A or B...That Easy!

I am looking at these two tripods. Both have the same head, but different legs.

I can for sure afford the cheaper one, and could maybe stretch to the more expensive one

Which would you get if you were me? (consider the price difference)

or

It looks to me that for $150 more I get everything the same, but the tripod can fold down to a length of just under 5" shorter. Worth it? IMO no, but I'd like to get some other opinions

ALSO: Note that I want this tripod to last me many many years. Through the rest of high school and at least some of college

I'd think an fsb 4 would last you a good 15 years at least. As for what one to get...I don't know enough about tripod legs to recommend one.

B, save yourself some cash. I would only say A if landis can justify A's sticks.

yea thats exactly how I am, especially since i cant stand glidecams

I love glidecamming, but it's not practical for powder or an entire edit

for sure. If i didn't use a tripod almost exclusively to get my shots I could in no way justify paying so much for one. I might get a pocket dolly eventually, but other than that, im set as far as stabilization.
