Chocolate milk

our meat consumption has gone up dramatically in the last 100 years. do you think we had the means to produce meat in these quantities during the 19th century? also why would we have such a low consumption in the first half of the 20th century if our current consumption is "normal".

we have been eating meat for thousands of years. but not this much and not this processed. dairy is the same.

There is no evidence in that article about the amount of meat consumption in the 'thousands of years' before 1909.

And the third chart shows that not even a quarter of the meat we eat is processed (still a decent amount but not alarmingly massive):

I do agree with you about dairy, not that it's just bad for you, but that processing (such as pasteurizing) takes away a lot of the benefits/

That's because the production of meat has changed since the Industrial Revolution. More and more meat is being processed with other meats that we forgotten what the true taste of some meats are. Same with dairy, there are growth hormones and other bad stuff processed in milk, yogurt, cheese, etc. that it's rare to find any dairy and meat products that don't have any hormones and other additives in them.

inb4 you end up calling me out saying that I'm wrong.

chicken, tonight my mom is cooking some of your breasts on the grill for dinner and it will be delicious

They have fucking oatmilk? If they can make that into a yogurt I would put that shit on my oatmeal everymorning. Hell I would just use the oatmilk in place of water

I just read through the thread and it's kinda aggravating. Chicken is making some really good arguments for a more vegan diet (I do not think that we need to or can possible have a completely vegan human race, but nobody really knows). He's not straight up yelling at you (well not entirely). He's making strong arguments in an offensive demeanor. He's probably angry for a reason and you don't have to care that he's angry. Just ignore his whiny tone and apply reason. Make the strongest argument you can from the ground up, not to support actions.

A lot of you don't like chicken because he's obnoxious. He's obnoxious because he's immature. That's just what happens when your immature and nobody listens to you. Just give him an honest chance.

Generally, if you don't like what someone has to say, you can ignore them. This thread could easily be a multipage debate over ovaltine and nesquick (I vote ovaltine), but nope.

tl;dr Listen to Chicken or ignore chicken

The thing is... most people know what's good and bad for them. What's healthy, what causes disease, what will make.them fat.. and we choose to not give a fuck. All of this information is readily available online, and if someone was interested in changing their diet, they would look that shit up themselves without being preached to.

Had some at the Farmer's Market one time and it was heaven.

Most milk is bad news. Most organic milks are OK.

But you're problem is that all those milks in that chart contain narly ass thickeners that are no bueno. I've searched far and wide and have yet to find a milk substitute that does not contain an unhealthy thickener.

I make my own almond milk and it's fucking delicious.

without animals eating other animals you know what would happen?

The food chain would go wack as shit and overpopulate the world with all kinds of animals.

It is natural for animals to eat meat so idk why you dont.

Oh thats right, your a pussy

you seem like an ok guy but I remember reading the max bench thread and being surprised at how low yours was for how much shit you talk on here. pretty sure I thought the same thing about the barefootinwhatever guy and the guy who has a sublime icon.

Yeah I dead lifted 405 for 8 the other day a year after major anklesurgery wanna tickle my balls? I've had shoulder problems my entire life.

Yes, and they have plastic bottles that come in pints, but you have to return the glass bottle back to the creamery like back in the old days. Seriously, it's heaven in a bottle, and it's seriously, the best milk I've ever had. Also, the Battenkill Valley Creamery milk is rated best milk in New York state.
