Ok so I posted the pic in Big Mountain but thought I'd see who's entered a Chinese downhill race before and how it was?

Here's one in Verbier:

but thats interesting looking.

far.redtree.com

The one at fernie comes off the headwall, apparnetly the guy who won it flat lined it off the headwall, theres a report and picture on that website,

im not sure if you do chinies down hill by the same rules as me but i do it as you start out about 10 yards away from your skies that are lined up in a line then you run jump into them and then its a full contact race to the bottem its so much fun i like to do it on those long ass greens that just go on forever i think it makes it more fun

that looks awesome-where in verbier is that? imagine one of these events down the bec des rosses!! that would be nuts

That one was from the top of the ridge on Savoleyers all the way to the Sports Centre in town.

Bec de Rosses would be crazy!

sometimes on a slightly easier trail, i try to do polish downhill with some friends. polish downhill is a switch-only chinese downhill in my book.

yea those are the same rules that i use, but i like to run a good blue or black run if i can get it............. faster

i've never entered one... mainly cos' i'd probably attempt to be competative and wreck myself on some other nutter.

the one i saw was just on a huge steep bowl and it was pretty much a straight line race for the winner and all the idiots in the middle killed themselves turning into each other at mach 20. start in the bindings and it's full cotact although only so much as if you hit the back of someone cutting you up you can both enjoy the other hundred or so competitors spearing you with their tips!

They have an annual chinese downhill at the end of the year at our mountain for a free season pass.

chinese downhills are way fun because they're usually such casual races. The trick is to get in front of the pack and then make huge sweeping turns.

when i do chinese downhill its with a bunch of people and your just not aloud to stop, turn or fall.

1st to the bottom wins
