greetings fellow earth travellers
After that first night i wrote about, another classic arose. After a big
meal at a turkish influenced chinese restaurant..?... we went to 'Dream
hollywood' to play some pool and drink. The price of drinks at the bar
are the same, about 5$. im with my family (mom, dad, brother, and this
guy rich, who's 52 and a travelling bum) and he's also a pool shark.
after I beat him twice (his confidence was his downfall) he started to
play the chinese pros who wanted to bet on the games. it started at 50
quai (the currency here - about 9$ a game) and he started winning. Every
game. he was up 600 quai, and the chinese were pissed. about 40 of them
were standing around watching (keep in mind this is a popular club) and
rich was geting plastered and obnoxious. I couldn't stop laughing, man
he was funny. Eventually we decided to leave so no one would kill us,
and we took a cab to another bar, this one full of aussies (damn they're
everywhere), and that was a good experience, met some people. After
that, another bar, this one full of chinese girls. Oh yeah, i see. Rich
Ill see you tomorrow buddy. I end up leaving with some american guys (ha
ha, very funny), and we knock on this window on the street. An old
english guy opens the door and we all pile in. he's from the UK, and he
lets us chill upstairs in the lounge. it's 3 am. so one of the americans
rolls up some hash in tobacco, and they put on the original woodstock
dvd. i couldn't handle the tobacco, i got a mad head rush, so i passed.
we talked and watched and listened. Then i went home. But the door to
our complex is locked at 9:30. I didn't want to wake him up (the comlpex
is full of students) so I searched for another way over the 14 ft wall.
I tried to climb a telephone pole. that didn't work. luckily theres
construction going on, so i climbed that and jumped over. The drop was
farther than i expected (it couldn't have been the booze could it? i've
heard it impairs judgement..)
i get in, but mommy and daddy are waiting. great, i love these 4 am
drunken arguing sessions, don't you?
actually it was 5 am.
what? what i do?
