Chin at Stowe?

Hey I got a pass to Stowe this year and I've heard all about the great back country opportunities they have. Could anyone point me in the direction of the chin? Or other "well known" spots, Im not tryin to steel anyones secrets Id like to know where everyone hikes, thanks a lot.
 
when theres good snow and u go through teh woods to the left of chin clip (off gondola) it says that you are leaving the mountain and liek ur on ur own and shit but its a cool trail, it takes u in between spruce and hte gondola. theres liek a 15 foot cliff in there and some other cool stuff
 
If you can't figure out where the Chin is on Mansfield, you don't deserve to be hiking back country in the first place.
 
I'll second that, but will say you shouldn't be there, not that you don't deserve to be. Way too many people go up to the chin who either don't know what they're doing or go up at the wrong time and get lost. When you get down into the tree line, finding your way back to the resort w/o getting stuck in the thick pines is a bit of a trick.

Instead, there's another good spot for trees in Stowe that's very obvious. You end up landing on rt 108. Go down chin clip about 1/3 of the way down the trail on the left you'll see an entrance w/a sign that tells you you're leaving the Stowe property. Ride that stuff for a while. There're some nice, open trees for half the vertical of the mountain.
 
If you ski off the chin you can go onto to Helllbrook, a hiking trail, it will take you down to a road at the bottom of the mountain, and its only like 10 minutes hike back, never done it myself, know ppl who have tho, they said its sick, Big Tits and Gansta shoots are suppose to be good fun too, ski with a local from up there, theres awesome shit all over that mountain
 
yea dude hellbrook is legit but you gotta do it when there is a huge amount of snowfall because it gets skied off easily by a few when there isnt much snow and then it is a shitty time. the woods coming of of hourglass to the left, not taking the cat track back to the boot pack, is a sick snake trail but it turns into a hike through tight pines. i skied a chute in there and ski cut across the top to check the stability and a 2 foot slough slide happened the same shit that took alex stall a few years back. know you where you are and what you are doing. like the dude said before go with a local or at least someone who is some what familiar with the area.
