I have been living down there during our summers for the past 3 years. This seasons snow has sucked but the past 2 have been off the hook. Wild women, big mountain skiing, and rock star partying all night. I can't even begin to explain. Insane.

Wouldn't know because Ive never been to Portillo, all three mountains put together are huge and if you have a car there is some sick shit off the back and you just get picked up on the road.

cool, I am planning a trip down to chile next summer and was thinking portillo, esp with the $450 per week special they have which includes food, lodging and lift ticket. Do you still fly into Santiago to go to this place?

I donno if there are any freestyle camps in chile, most of them are racing. You are probably thinking of New Zealand for freeride camps because the only one I know of in Chile is the US Ski Team camp. I also doubt its cheaper than Whistler.

 
there are some great freeride camps in in chile esp at portillo. Chris Anthony and Chris Davenport just had one.

Also, man the plane tickets are expensive. But thanksfully its only 89,000 frequent flyer miles so i can get a ticket on my milage.

 
Lived down there on my own through an exchange program in college. Portillo is beyond words, El Colorado, Valle Nevada, Los farellones or whatever the hell they are are cool, big terrain parks, but sucking natural terrain. Oh yeah, blow is $8/gram

My senior present is going down and skiing Chile for 2 weeks or so. And damn, thats some cheap blow.

the terain is prity boring with in the resort boundries but there are some sick things taht you can hike to like steep chutes ans big clifs and u can heli but a=thats like 500 for 3 runs
