I was in La Parva a couple years ago in August. The first thing about chile is they get huge storms if you are lucky. I had to leave a half a day earlier cause some five foot storm was coming in.  When I went it was $100 to get in the country, I don't know if that is the same now but I do know that you have to pay atleast something. I had no problems getting in a out of the country tho. The people there are really cool except most of them can't speak a word of english. Knowing some spanish will definitely help. Definitley if you have the oppurtunity available take the trip cause it is worth it %150.
