Chicks in extreme sports

i kno i kno im just askin for hate for bein "sexist" and the obvious fact that im a n00b but im just wonderin, has anyone else noticed that chicks in rollerblading, skateboarding, skiing and snowboarding can never pull as well as guy???

hate away, or give me sum helpful insight, the ladder would be appreciated
 
Um.. well I think you had better let Fabiola, Victoria Jealouse and Sarah Burke know that.. they seem to be confused as they are throwing down as hard as anybody.
 
bullshit, u see the asa chapionships on OLN? The women could not pull nearly as well as the men, could not lace the same tricks, and couldnt get as much spin
 
no hate... its true... but there are some girls that can pull better than some guys... fabiola da silva on skates for instance... she got so good that she had to compete against the guys in the x games
 
have you noticed that 75% of the olympic medals for team canada have been won by women/women's teams? surely enough, chicks are doin SOMETHING extreme, and are rockin at it.
 
there was never a question of it being women against men.. the dude simply said women aren't extreme. i beg to differ.
 
or course women aren't going to compete against men. but when it comes to men vs men, canada chokes. women vs women, canada does much better. meaning, that in the grand scheme of things, canadian women are performing better in extreme sports than men.
 
i agree wemon are generall worse at most sports but thats to be ezpected, and im sure over the years it'll get better. girls snowboarding, slope at least, though is a total joke, when a sloppy 5 wins x you can't say they're ever gonna be anywhere near the guys
 
I seriously doubt that. How is that possible, not to sound sexist but men are stronger and faster then girls. Its not just due to culturla reasons its because they have more testosteron and other ownderful stuff.

Im curious who estimated this cause theres no way a women in the 100m olympic final will beat a man in the100m olympic finals.
 
i tihkn that girls cant physicaly do what us men can im not saying they can fucking whoop my ass in skiing but for example Tanner hall and Simon Dumont theres not one girl who can near them. But girls are getting better and they deserve some serious credit

and sorry if this comes off harsh... I just seem to come across this subject well.... every f**king day. And I don't dispute it or anything. I know the truth. I just wish people would shut up and live their life and stop hating on other people.

The initial poster refered to women as compared to men.. not as compared to the top atheletes in the business.. truth is that the three women I spoke of would outperform most of the men they will meet. Go hang out with Sarah and try to follow her through a park.. I have.. it is not easy. Go to Woodward or Bob's place and watch Fabiola ride the ramps.. tell me that you know ANY guy who could school her....

And stand on the face of an Alaskan peak with a series of spines and cliffs below you all at or above 55 degrees with Victoria Jealouse and tell me that she doesn't rip them as hard as any guy on a snowboard.
 
Im not trying to be sexist either or anything. But chicks won't ever be good as men in anything. That's just the way it is. Men are super aggressive, they always push it and they're naturally competitive. Men's bodies are also made to build muscle, women's aren't. I'm not trying to be dumb or anything, that's just the way it is and how the human race is made.
 
watch out for ashley battersby give her a couple years and she'll be up there killin some of the guys you watch, the girls these days straight kil it man and i wish i could ski half as good as some of them
 
so i was just thinking about it... and girls have better style than guys do, not in skiing or snowboarding or anything...but once they kinda breech that gap where they can spin big 7s and 9s and then get the style aspect down, i bet girls will be doper to watch than guys sometimes

if you saw Jen Ashton today in the US Extreme Freeskiing Championships in Crested Butte you would realize that some women kick guys' asses.
 
its just not true when people say sarah burke and grete are at the same level as the guys. I have tons of respect for them, but they really aren't at the same level.

Fabioula da Silva however, is truly someone who has reached that level.
