My fuck that run was bad though, idk why she even thinks she should be there.
 
Jesus christ its terrible for the sport, little Dana's Mum and Dad see that run at the olympics and tell her that it's not an actual career, see there aren't even enough successful athletes to fill out an olympic event. Suddenly girls get priced out of pursuing pipe seriously and progressing the sport. Imagine if this was slope, it's absolutely horrible for girl's pipe and skiing in general it makes skiing look like an oddity and not a real sport/career/goal you know?

I'm actually so mad, it totally demeans the efforts of every skier whose put in the blood, sweat, tears to get to the top. If they were short competitors they could have literally just grabbed a girl skier shredding our park up if they wanted, they would have at least grabbed with style and probably done a couple of spins.

I think she just wanted to make the Olympics in whatever event she could? She tried in skeleton and failed a few years ago I believe

I agree that people are overreacting over this, but I see comments on social media in total support of her and that's what pisses me off
 
Think I might be over reacting, it just makes me real mad. I think it's sad to see how priced out of pipe girls are, like if she just admitted she wanted to go to the olympics I think I'd be more ok with it, it's her comments about how she wants to progress the sport which piss me off.

If she really wanted to progress the sport she should have used all that money to get some local ripper who can't afford to fly around the world competing into the olympics. It's not cheap to do that and the way people get priced out is really sad

I dont support her at all, she sucks ass and BS'd her way to the Olympics just to do a run worth 0.003 points, if that. I just dont think the general public who arent avid skiers or dont ski at all will have a reason to shit on skiing, if thats what NS is worried about, they see crazy shit on TV of skiers, and saw all the other girls put down good runs. Im not really sure what everybody is on about saying how we'll become a mockery or what ever, she ruined her own career, not our sports entire fucking image.

Im just wondering how she even has world cup events under her belt, young girls in USASA could at least put a grab run together with an alley oop or a 540.
 
There a ski racer doing the same thing. He races at Mt hood Meadows, which is where I ski so its why I know about him. He is competing for Thailand or something like that and I'm pretty sure he has never even been there. I bet he does as shitty in his sport as this girl did in hers.

She's not delusional. She received an undergrad degree from Berkeley and a masters in finance from harvard. She's self-promoting herself. That's all this is about. Nobody as smart as her is dumb enough to think her run was good enough.

As far as my post count why would more posts make my opinion matter more? Also, why does somebody posting on an internet forum rustle your jimmies. It's a forum, that's kind of what people do.
 
Honestly this is a big fuck you to all those aspiring half pipe skiers who wish to compete in the olympics. I can not believe Hungary even agreed to put this woman in the Olympics just so that she could be a part of it. If I was aspiring to go to the olympics this would definitely destroy my motivation. Fuck the olympics and fuck Swaney.

That was my point exactly. The things people were tweeting after her runs weren’t about her but about our sport, and it damaged their image of it.
