just moved to chicago 3 months ago. have yet to find anyone here who even skis. everyone snowboards at places they call "mountains" in wisconsin, but are really just glorified bunny hills. anyone here from chicago? anyone down for some urban? it seems like theres some dope stuff to hit all around the city. ive found a couple good locations in grant park and humboldt park. lemme know.

Im sure if you goto Chicago with your skis first of all you wont find a place to park around Grant/Millennium for a couple hours, and by the time you get there you will get kicked out sooo quickly by Chi-town police. Its a fun city though in winter but you really shouldnt expect to ski at all if you live there.

And also I think I know exactly one of the rails you are talking about in Grant Park and it for sure looks so fucking money for skiers.

I hope you've heard of raging buffalo, I hear they have some sick rail setups. You should make the drive to chestnut, its about 3 hrs west. I have friends from chi that make the drive like every weekend.

Yeah man good luck hitting urban in chicago. I live in the suburbs right out of chicago and there is lots of fun urban around here. And raging buffalo is a sick ass park for a tow rope. pretty big kickers and lots of rails. then if you go up an hour there is wilmot and alpine which are actually really fun parks. when you start traveling more north about 2-3 hours you hit the more fun (or shall i say bigger hills with dope parks) like cascade, sunburst, tyrol. and yes 3 hours west there is chestnut which is a kick ass mountain. But anyways. hit me up if you go to any of the locations mentioned above. my friends and i are down to shred.

I have lived here my whole life...never have really had a problem with heading up to the places in southern WI for some good park riding. I live on the northside, Lincoln Park and I am always down to hit up urban. I dont have a drop in ramp but I usually make do with natural terrain or whatever.Shoot me a PM

Get a bungee. It will enable you to hit anything, anywhere. There will always be something to ski even within walking distance with 30 feet of bungee and a bunch of friends. To make it cheaper, don´t waste money on the rope and handlebar thingy, just go to some local hardware store and grab a couple feet of rope. Then instead of that water-ski-rope shit that is useless when you´re a skier and need to hold your poles, go to a pet store and pick up one of those things dogs use when you take them crosscountry skiing, know what I meen? Like the thing that goes around their body? I don´t know what it´s called but you´ll figure it out.

Do it for sure.

yeah im from barrington, ive lived here my whole life and havent really found much around this area. theres a sick down flat down right by my house but i havent had a chance to hit it yet. if you go out and really look for urban setups you can find stuff, but i normally just reside to raging buffalo instead
