Chicago kids headed to Steamboat next week

This is my first post on this site, but it looks like I'll be spending alot of time on it. We chicago kids spend most fo the year skating rails instead of skiing them, but some of us plains folk do ski. Anywho, a couple of friends and myself are headed out to steamboat and should be there on saturday. Any shortcuts, special spots(if it's not a big deal), cheap food, exc. would be greatly appreciated. Great site by the way. Peace
