Chestmount for GoPro

I have been searching for the best way to go about takine POV shots. I ski mostly freeride and off piste. I have used the chestmount and the video always ends up being blocked by my hands when pole planting and on almost every big send the GoPro faces my knees and i have to throw away potentially great footage. the only other option is the headmount. I applied the 3m adhesive mount and tried it on. The gopro makes my hemlet go all over the place since when i wear a helmet, its on the outside of my googles. i hear action cam is lighter but i dont really want to buy a whole new camera. any suggustions?

Maybe tighten your helmet? Your helmet shouldn't shake on your head, also would reccomend. A pole mount you can get some sick shots with them , I wouldn't try a ski mount I hear that the camera can easily fall off and get lost, from my experience the adhesive is not great in really cold weather

Mouth mount. It serves as a mouth guard for big hits, and it also has a better angle at what you're shooting. I found when I used the chest mount I didn't get enough sky in the shot with lots of ground, and with the helmet I got too much sky and not enough ground. This is the closest I could find between the two to get the happy-medium with a wide range FOV.

That's for surfing

Screw in the gopro upside down and put the J clip in the other wayso it cant look down. Thats what most bikers do so they get the road and not right below them. I have done it but you can always use a screw driver to make sure its super tight.

Chesties and really hard shots to get, but the payoff can be pretty awesome. I recommend chesty gopros be inverted, about 20 degrees from collapsed form, in powder or speed runs. 99% of riders have shaky upper bodies and tend to ski crouched.

Helmet cams are always a sure shot. I always have an issue with weight, but also makes everything look easier that is really was. Try the pole attachement, but expect shitty quality.

I have tried all that and the only problem I get is my hands get in the way off good footage, have you ever heard of people making the straps on the chesty tight enough so the whole mount is fairly closer under your head?
