Chemistry Regents

engilsh sucks, US is a joke. but the multi on the english are like 40% of the test, so they are realllly inportant!
 
wellll chem just f'd me in the a. oh well i just hope i passed so i dont have to take it in like august and fail it again
 
good luck everyone for tomorrow....lets get these 4 essays done withhhh and i have a feeling were all gonna be thinking about skiing when were not getting our writing done!
 
i know i am! and i plan on leaving after the first 2 hours. keep this thread going for the whole week!
 
ughh i have english and euro tomorrow too. 4 essays, 65+ multiple choice between the two. Euro is going to be so easy. you can get 3's on both essays and 5 mc wrong and still pull a 90 or something close to that.
 
^i nearly fell asleep during the scientist one. so i only had the second time to concentrate on it. cant wait for tomorrow!! not really though
 
english was easy today

and i did part b-2 all in pencil two. i was the last one out of the entire gym. they made me ink it over.

skiray was peering into the window of the gym door distracting me
 
Same, the English was so boring. But I think I wrote decent essays. Math is going to fucking kill me tomorrow though, I better do a little studying tonight.
 
Yeah, my second essay sucked, it alluded to Harry Potter and Pet Semetary. But did anyone else take the math 3 Regents? It was mad easy, except question 28 about different streets in this triangle. Did anyone who took it get the answer to that?
 
yeah it was. i couldnt help but giggle.. just reminded me of the picture in the fail thread that has a picture of the street saying "SOTP" and then the caption sayinf "FIAL?"
 
i got 6 for that one but im pretty sure im wrong haha. nobody knew that one, i dont think i know anybody who was confident in that answer. anywayz, it wasnt a bad test, i lol'd at the last question where the 2 boys names were Gerardo and Bennie, it sounded like a gay couple haha. whats the point of including names in math problems, it always cracks me up when they do that
 
yeah. they may have them in a few other states but mainly new york. They're in high school but mostly 10th grade but they're good because they usually count as a final and for the most part are pretty easy because they have to factor in the whole state. there are a few hard ones though.
 
my last line of the uv ray essay was "So before you go out to get that California tan, you better check yourself before you wreck yourself."

that's hysterical. i didn't say anything that creative but i used something catchy at the beginning of that sounded like it was a tv ad or something. my teacher said today that i got 5.5 and 6 out of 6 for my 2 essays yesterday which i wasn't expecting but that should raise my grade a bit for the year
 
What did you get? I gave up and just wrote x=2 at the bottom instead of leaving it blank. I asked my dad, who knows a lot of math (he taught college level for 5 or 6 years and is a scientist) and he did some weird thing where you have 3 equations with 3 variables, and then about 3 pages worth of crazy substitution....he got 8.6 and change.
 
so does anyone know if the chem is graded yet? or is it different for all schools?

and im almost positive i did bad on global... our thematic was "write about 2 belief systems"

i did buddhism and islam. unfortunately i called it islam and wrote about hinduism.
 
haha dude, i did confucionism and islam, and halfway thru the essay i re-read my writing, realized it made no sense and just stopped righting. fuck that
 
chemistry was SO HARD, so many people in my school failed it. math 3 wasnt as bad as i thought it was gonna be besides that dumb street question which my teacher said she hasntt taught in 20 years. the english and us history regents were both jokes.
 
83 on math B... i thought i was in the 80-90 range so i guess thats ok

and idk about chem, english, or U.S. US was the hardest by far i think
 
Actually he figured out an easier way, and the answer was 8 even. The two triangles are similar, because of the angles (way too confusing to explain without the diagram), so you can set up a proportion and it turns into a quadratic equation which factors to a negative number and 8.
