Chemistry Regents

this is to people that have taken the chemistry regents in previous years.

what was your final course grade and what was your final exam (regents) grade?

were u bugging out (like me right now) before u got there but it ended up being not that bad?
 
what modules do you have on your exam? cause we dont ave regents here or whatever, but im guessing theyre like your final?

my final tis year was a joke, if you guys learned thermo chemistry, gas laws and all that junk, i wouldn't be worried. you cant be easily fooled with those subjects....
 
In NY we did not learn about that stuff. I'm not sure about steezyjibber but I know all of NY takes the same test. Last year only 3 out of 4 kids passed it which is really bad for a regents exam.
 
i dont really enjoy chemistry, persay... its real boring but im done now!!! forever!!!!!!!! my final was yesterday
 
i didnt study at all and got a 79, but didnt really try to do the test well so. i had like a b+ for the year i think

i have mine too.. im not too worried about it thought.

i am worried about the global though, fuck i have like 2 hrs to write 2 essays (assuming about 40 mins on mult choice which is going to be easy).. it usually takes me longer than 2 hrs to write one.
 
chem was my worst class when i was a junion (mid 70s i think) but i got to the test and got like an 80 or so on it. that was 2 years ago. If last years was really hard chances are this year is gunna be really easy. From what i remember was that the state would make a hard test everyone would do bad and the next year they would make it easy so that it didnt make the state look like a bunch of sp eds
 
i did amazing in chem which is suprising, but i remember the regents was fucking hard. nothing i had learned that year was on the regents. study everything you have learned and hopefully you can pull atleast an 80. good luck
 
Chemistry is easy, everything makes sense. I took some of the old Chem regents and did great. Im not scared about the regents at all.
 
chemistry sucked. i was like borderline failing all year. but either our teacher made the course a lot harder than it really had to be or we got an easy exam cuz i got an 80 on the regents. its not too bad, because they generalize it alot and cant go really in depth in every little bit
 
dude the chem regents was the worst. i had like a 90 in the class but got a 78 on the test. but without studying cause i was a slacker back in those days. but yea i thought the test was hard. physics is a joke next year so they even out.

but fo reals i took em like 2 years ago, tehy are amd hard, but not terribly had, i was a B+(85ish) student in class i think i got a 75 on em, but they also curve teh grades down which is bullshit, so i probally got around an 82 with out the curve.
 
regents are a joke if you have a semi-competent teacher and you're taking an honors level class. I took the chem last year with 0 studying and got a 98 but it got curved down to a 96. If they actually matter for anything other than passing i would've been slightly pissed but i really didn't care at all
 
ok so i jsut got home from that, did all the part b's in pencil an had to go over them with ink

it was tough, im pretty confident i did decent though...

i have a major problem though, i did not do the part 2 in pen and now im very stressed out. im gonna try to get a hold of someone in school tommorow to see if there is something i can do. maybe im just being a baby and its no big deal and i shouldnt be stressin, but i dont have any info as to how the tests are graded.. :^(
 
seriously, you get zero credit on a regents test if you do not do it in pen, peep this site

and the last question about smoke detectors? i said something about ionization energy but when i got to the test i couldnt remeber what ionization energy was!
 
i didnt think the multiple choice was to bad but the rest was ridiculous im just glad i had some smart kids around me
 
I think you just had to read the chart and mark a line on that thing. I don't think you had to really know anything.
 
hahaha i lol'd i wrote irondequoit where i was supposed to write my teachers name...oops i think tomorrow is gonna be fine and thursday just realllly really long. glad im not going to dmb tonight!
 
yes sir. and the worst part is you cant even study for it. the entie thing is like 4 essays and a few multiple choice... sooo gay. and then dont even get me started on math
