These are my 3 month old ar5's. and what happened after sliding rails. my 2 year old 1080's (that i've slid thousands of rails with) have rounded edges but at least the edges didn't rip out. i guess armada made stronger and bigger edges for next year's ski's.

Did you hammer it back in.. cuz it looks weird. the base is covering alot of the edge. Either way that sucks dude.. tell them what happened in an e-mail and be very speicific... maybe you might get lucky and they will send you new ones. Dont be an ass in the e-mail though.. that wont work.

as soon as you slid a few rails your edges become usless anyways because the edges and the p tex gets rounded over so it doesnt really matter if the edges pull out it just means that your sliding a lot of rails. If you slid any ski alot it will happen. Skis arent made for rails so if you dont want that happining you need to keep a pair that you dont slid on and then use your beat up ones on rails. thats why people have rail skis and good skis. But what do you need edges for anyways there no good in the air.

 
^yah but a rounded, useless edge is still a lot easier to control than a two inch long gap with no edge.....pretty soon one of the edges will start tearing out and dragging in the snow and then they will be unskiable

dont do rails they are over rated and clearly not worth it, save the damage for hittin rocks beneath the pow

thats what my shit skis looked like when i learned rails now a couple of weeks later on my madtrix you can't even tell im doing rails if you look at the base. i have stopped landing crooked and can no land with my bases flat and now its all good. so essentially all you need is a pair of shit things for learning and then you can use your regular ones forever

than thats really weird. what type of rails are you doing because on things like rollercoasters and kinks and y rails there is no reason for there to be that much pressure on the edges. maybe im just stupid and my skis are bombproof

i did it on square up kinks, trapazoids, and urban rails. i think its just cuz i slide a lot of rails in a day. if i cant slide a whole rail i'll hike it until i can. and after i get it i try to disaster to it, which probebly did the most damage.

oh yea, and dude with the msp's, you can fix that, just bring them to your ski shop and get the base welded. it helps alot

Yea same with my friends, seems like Armada has a lot of kinks to work out for next year. Hopefully the Tanner Pro Model and the Julien will be of better quality.
