Just finished dying these guys. I think they turned out pretty well, though the frames are more purple than they look in the pictures. Tell me what you think!

those are reeeeally sick. do you have a picture with the strap?i don't know how they'd look with a different lens, but with those they look ill.props

Yup yup, dyed them light blue, put on hot glue and then dyed them deep purple.

Thanks for the props guys I'm stoked they turned out well. The strap is just black though, I'm hoping I can find a white one and dye that, and also get some light blue instead of the black on the outriggers.

those are sick man, props for making a dope pair of frames. only question, how did you dye them without coloring the foam?

what did you die them with/how did you do it?

ok quick question that doesn't deserve its own thread-
i've got jp auclair crowbars, and plastic behind the lens is white like the rest of the goggle. i can see the reflection of the nosepiece when i look through my googles, and its annoying (especially when i'm baked haha). anyway i was thinking if i died the inside of the goggle black, would it get rid of the reflection on the inside of the lens? thanks

Bought some RIT dye at the store, dyed them in light blue for a little bit, rinsed it, put on the hot glue, dyed them in deep purple for a while longer, rinsed, then peeled off the glue.

The face foam gets dyed as well but it doesn't damage it at all, in fact, it's the same color gray as it was before I stuck them in the dye.

As for the JPs, you could definitely dye the inside nose black but it's risky as you have to keep them in the water in order for it to dye. So either you can try and bend the frame so just the inside nose is in the water and hold it there, or you can hit up micheal's and buy some fabric paint which will create a plastic layer of color over the nose. It's not as resiliant as dye but since it's inside the lense you should be good.

think this is what i would do. will the paint come off if it gets wet though?

^and to the guy above me, it happens with my fire irids and pink irids. i think its the reflective iridium that fucks with my head.

did you do strap? i have the brown retro straps (brown strap with white retro oakley) and i wanted to die the 'oakley' letters a baby blue. do you know how i would do this and keep the rest of the strap brown? thanks

I read that duct tape can stop the dye from reaching the fabric but it sounds a bit sketch to me. Perhaps you could syran wrap and duct tape the entire strap except for the O. But if you want to try that I suggest doing it on a rag first.

those look so good man im dyein mine tomorrow
the colour looks so good with the lense aswell congrats

Cheers!

But you can't dye black crowbars, I guess you could spray paint them but I'm not sure if that'll look too good.
