On that first vid you need to control your rim every time you pull up your walls that will cause your pot to stay in the center of the wheel and your pot's rim will be real dope.. well done tho
 
That was sickkk. On the first vid, maybe just work on the song transition though. I really liked the lighting on the wheel shot mangg. keep it up breh
 
thanks for all the positive comments. yea i didnt show the finished product because i had to showcase the video that night. I will get some footage of the finished product and resubmit it. the second video is that same i just was making sure it embeded so i used old an new embed codes

yea i was getting sloppy on that one because my wheel is in my garage and i was getting cold haha. I also didnt wedge well so i had a bunch of bubbles which is why i kept stopping to pop em with a needle tool.

centering is the most important part and that is a kick wheel takes way longer to center than fast electric wheels

i was scrambling to get it done for the showcase and i already had the mp3s on my computer and they fit well so i figured why the hell not.

those are so sick! i really enjoyed the video as well.

i've always wanted to get into pottery, it seems so relaxing.
 
super sick man, just two tips, when you pull, try to keep the rim a little thicker, strengthening the totality of the pot, and when you start out make sure its pretty centered, will make the centering process easier.

Sometime i could post all of my raku pots if you or anyone wants to check em out!
 
all of you who want to get into ceramics, do it

its frustrating at first but then as relaxing and awesome as it looks. Also its super tight how you built your own raku kiln.

Also this should be a thread filled with pics of NS pottery, i'm not very good, probably as good as the OP, but would be down to take some shots

also op, as said, make the rim at the end, also is your wheel spinning counter clockwise, if so try throwing on the other side of the piece, it is much easier to work from that side and less easy to catch your hands/tools on the piece
 
im more impressed at that cool little ez bake oven u made then i am with ur pots, but then again when i first entered this thread i was gonna comment on your homosexuality
