I skied past one of the towers last sunday. Holy fucking huge things, the size of a radio tower, but with a lot more metal.
 
It's funny how they market that shit as the first, the tallest, the biggest, the best........ while Les Arcs - La Plagne did the exact same thing years ago. And those 2 mountains are twice as tall as Whistler.

That lift is called the Vanoise Express and it's the gayest thing in the alps
 
If the look at it closely, like from inside the lodge, you'll see that they've done such a poor job on the concrete. Apparently a bunch of people got fired after the concrete stuff was built, and it was supposed to be like 10x deeper in the ground than it is right now.
