Check cashing?

if i have a check thats made out to me but i dont have a bank account can i just take the check to the bank that issued it and cash it?

I dont know about that solution, but I know that you can write "Pay to the Order of:______" in the endorsement part on the back and it works if you both sign it. I've done that for some friends who dont have a bank in vermont and needed a check cashed.

No, there is usually a 5 business where the check is processed..but thats when you have an account. You must have some sort of bank account, one that your parents made for you

i dont think you need a bank account. you can cash checks at some grocery stores, but they usually charge you

you used to be able to do that a while back, but nowadays i think you need a special type of cheque to do that

nah get paid in cash most of the time

Go to the bank where the check was drawn from son. Usually they can help you out, still might have to clear though.
Grocery Stores now are extremely few in numbers that check 3rd party checks.
