Cheapest way to get from Denver to Vail?

anything to do with vail is expensive but try colorado mountain express if you don't want a car rental fee. but cars are not that pricey aand I bet the shuttles are, so my post is useless, you could always try greyhound if desperate, but there are lots of shuttle companies that head into the mountains from the front range.

get 3 friends, get in a car, put some gas in it, drive up the hill, down the hill...split the cost
 
its less to order co mtn express online (dont remember the site)

what I do remember is this......you want point to point transit.....so all you lose is getting dropped at the bus station instead of your hotel. its like 30 each way if you do that. cheers.
 
RME is a pretty good deal if all else fails. Have them drop you off at the transit center and save a few bucks. The Vail buses are a free and easy way to get around town.
