im from New Zealand and next year want to come over that side of the world for some skiing (around Jan/feb). Where would be some of the cheap yet sick places. whats nelson BC, Big white like?

If you're fixed on a particular area in the USA / Canada, buy a pass beforehand and it's an excellent deal.

ya if you go to kickin horse it is so sick. its near canmore, kind of near calgary. Jackson hole is sick too, but its not dirt cheap

kicking horse gets like ZERO snow though. The summit only gets 270 inches a year, while the base gets lke 100....thats fuckign horrible, east coast resorts get more.

Most resorts on Mt. Hood are around 42 bucks to ski all day + night. but they wont be as good as Whistler or CO or mammoth or anyting

If you come to Nelson or Rossland BC, I can assure you, it will be cheap, and you will have a good time.

Nelson and Rossland area (Whitewater , Red mountain) in BC is full of ski bums you hitch hike with a pair of skis and its a piece of cake. Id suggest you to go to Rossland cuz the village is at the bottom of the mountain and Red is fucking sick! haha

go to kickinghorse for world class skiing and some cheap ass bars full of guys and no girls but the skiing is well worth it if you bring lots of porn you will be ok!

Well lift tickets might be cheaper else where but for overall price I think Utah, SLC might be the cheapest cause a butload of cheap motels, some nice brewerys, and skiing is soooo close and averaged priced too

MAMMOTH AND WHISTLER. except mammoth is the biggest pain in the ass to get to it is literally in the middle of no where. and that is no exhaderation! this place is literally a mountain sticking up out of the deasert

by cheapest I'm assuming you mean bang for buck cheap. so given that I'd say whitewater and red would be your best bet, castle is also fairly cheap but the conditions arnt really great most of the time so its kinda hit or miss.

Basically, head to the West Coast and rent a car and do a road trip starting somewhere in CAN... And hit all the sick mountains... wait... prolly not that cheap... Uhh... Dunno wheres cheap... But not Mt.Hood. Hood sucks.

rossland/Nelson/castlegar area is the shit I was there for 9months and Im goig nback on december 27th!! funkin rights!

Mammoth is awesome if you can get there-

fuckloads of snow, mean park, mean skiing ..but it is in the middle of nowhere!anywheres cheaper the sooner u buy your ticket, or make friends with season pass people who look like ya!be careful of bc,bt i spose they can't have 2 absolute shit seasons in a row..

dude your a fucking joke. the upper alpine at kicking horse is really fucking deep. the average snow fall at kicking horse is 300+ inches taken form the dogtooth weather center BELOW the tree line. up to they get 400 in the high alpine. how you compare some east coast shit to kicking horse is beyond me. your a fucken moron. you can always find fresh at khr and the terrain is gnarly. and for 35 bucks a day i dont think you can really go to much cheaper.

there is no better value for the quality of the snow/resort than eastern bc. fernie, kicking horse, red, whitewater are all great.

baker is cheapish too, but there is nowhere to stay.

bc hasnt had two in a row, at least big white didnt, the previous season was good, got sooo much snow. but yeah last year was pretty bunk...north pole conditions in the middle of march and not good with snow...bad with ice...

Hey thats what there website says asshole. 270 inches at the summit, and if anything the website would over exaggerate snow claims. that isnt much snow at all, jay peak in vermont gets more thatn that.
