Cheapest mounting

I'm not sure what the cheapest place is, but don't go to Joe's sporting goods. They refused to mount my friends skis dead center.
 
meh they're all in the same ballpark unless you actually bought your skis/boots/bindings from them... then you'll probably get a good discount. you might as well get it done at a shop that will actually listen to you.

sports hut screwed mine up a few years ago and wouldn't do anything to correct it, so i haven't shopped there since. everybody loves pinewki's and summit, but i'm sure there's more good options too
 
you don't want the cheapest place, you want the place who will do the best job. nothings worse than being stoked on your new skis and having some gaper fuck up your mounting.

as far as I know, shops are all going to be within $10 of each other anyway. ive never had skis mounted in MN/WI before, so cant help u there.

if you live in the twin cities area i'd assume summit would do a pretty good job
 
I would try to go to a freestyle specific shop, like summit or pinewskis. Mount Kato does a good job and will hook you up wherever you want them mounted. But thats not the Twin Cities. Joes isn't a freestyle specific shop, but they did mount a couple pairs of skis for me dead center. I just marked with a sharpie the dead center spot and told them thats where I want it done. I don't know if pinewskis mounts skis or not. I know The House doesn't mount tho so don't waste your time there.
 
if youre talking about the one that used to be in Minnetonka.... theres a reason they went out of business. seems like everytime ide go in there they would find some reason to treat me like a child that didnt know his left hand from his right. and im a clean cut 21 year old guy.

OP go to Pinewskis. most legit experiences ever there. if you live far away they might even rush mount them for you. we're talking drop them off and come back a little while later. (ide call though)
 
haha that's exactly it. they lost their lease in wayzata, went to minnetonka, went out of business, and are now re-opening under new ownership in plymouth. hopefully it's a change for the better.
 
lets hope so. im sure there are good people that work there in addition to the awful ones. but i seemed to get the awful ones quite a bit.

or one time i was there getting skis mounted for my sister and they said come back in 2 days. cool. come back 2 days later and theyre reply was "o sorry, we didnt mount them because there was an issue to clear up" WHAT THE HELL you couldnt call and clear this up?
 
Pinewski's all the way man. I think the price is around $30 (though that could be totally off, I'm just trying to remember from when my buddy got his mounted there), and they do a fantastic job, and don't have any confusing as to what "dead center" means. Needless to say, that's where I'll be taking my equipment in a week or so when I pick up my new skis.
 
Valley Bike and Ski in Apple Valley has done a good job for me. They wouldn't mount my AR7s dead center, but I don't care because .5 inch back is close enough
 
I think I'm going to go with Pinewskis, but I have a question. I have the Ross S1's(I know there bad there my first twin tip skis, but I didn't cheap out on the Boots or bindings) I will be spending 90% of my time in the park. Should I get them mounted at dead center or there Modern or standard mountings, that they recommend

I will probably be replacing the Rossignol in the next year but for now there all I got, and I'm just learning park.
 
Mount them center. You're not going to be doing any big mountain shredding here, and like you said you'll be doing 90% park, so center is where those bindings belong. Also a helmet is a matter of personal preference, I never ride without one and highly recommend it. Take that how you will.
