Cheap turf for summer skiing

So, I was just wondering does any of you know a website, that sells cheap turf or msnow cheaper than the regular one. Wouldn't want to spent too much for a piece of plastic.

All the turf I found online while building mine was more expensive than the stuff at home depot, I got a 6ftx8ft artificial grass rug from there and it works perfectly. This one is $32 which isn't bad for 48 sqft. (the avg price is usually around $1 per sqft)

Any outdoor carpet will work. The main thing you need to do is use dish soap and water on your setup. I wet mine and put dish soap on my skis. I have also seen people just take buckets of soapy water. One thing to note is that for the carpet, make sure you don’t have wrinkles in your turf. Good luck!

I used to have a setup that I used regular old carpet from my house and it worked great. Like k_tivnan said just be sure to get the carpet wet and use dish soap to make it slippy slidey. This also goes for turf, soap and water make it real nice.

Three times in my life I've been lucky enough to have professional quality turf installed near me. Twice for new turf on high school sporting fields and once for turf around an asphalt pump track. In every scenario I was polite and talked to the work crew and told them I use the turf for skiing and I was able to get a bunch of strips they were going to throw out. One guy even helped load a giant roll into the back of my mini-van with a forklift. Keep your eyes out for any fields being redone or updated, professional quality turf is magic to ski on. 10x better than the cheap stuff.
