Cheap rails

while I'm waiting for the snow to fall I'm fixing/buying some new PVC rails. I went to Home Depot and realized their a lot of money. Does anyone know where to get some cheap rails? Also the largest they sell are 6 inch in diameter. Where do u get 10-12inch in diameter. I went by some pipe place that's about 10mins away from me and they charge you like 100$ for a 8inch in diameter. I asked them if they had any broken ones for cheap but they where still charging 80$ for a broken 10ft and 8inch in diameter pipe... Please help, thanks!

Construction dude. Id also build some flat bars as well. I have 3 1 1/4 pipes on a 2x4. Watch Andy Parry's video if you don't know how to build it. Build to whatever height you want.

unless you dumpster dive or steal some, its not gonna get much cheaper. biggest advice is know exactly how you plan on building them before buying materials.

I have about 9 rails already made from last season that I just made from some crapy pipes laying around. But I'm looking for a wider rail that's from 10-12inch in diameter. The largest one I have now is 6.

The larger the diameter the more $$$

Check craigslist. Honestly it's one of those things you get lucky and find or you don't. Unless you live near a decent urban area you'd kind of need a littl luck to find anything cheap or free.

Could cut out an arc on the curve of the diameter tubing you want, Cut it out of ply, one for each end, then run 2x4s between them, and throw pieces of pvc on top of them going around the curve. Wouldn't be as smooth as a legit tube but you'd still be able to do the same kind of tricks, coming on inside etc. (Never built anything like that but trying to figure out something that would work for you for cheaper)

IDk just a thought, other wise just see what you can find on the webs or hope to get lucky.

I bought mine for 50 at a huge store with nothing but pipe. Look for one of those in your area

What was the store called also how big was the pipe?

How would you make and s rail or a rail with a dip or curve

Not saying it's impossible but if you don't have a pre curved pvc pipe or a way to bend them you cant. The smaller the pipe the more they bed. A flst bar style might work. Usually these tend to not work out very well. I make zig zag rails sometimes and just die. If you have the room I do a frames. Drop rails are also real fun

Was thinking of doing a normal rail this year and then expanding and making two or three rails some shorter/ different and make waterfall rails and flat down flat

Made a really fun waterfall rail at camp 18061806. They are real fun to mess around with. Dfds are hard, but if yours work let me know, I want to build one. There are ways to build rainbows but not worth it and speed wise it's hard for summer. Get creative with what you have. There are plenty of sick summer vids up on NS. Check out SDrvper and JohnCenaCena (John18061806)

That's what I do every year and it's really fun. I'm always changing my set up and changing the rails around.

Whats worked for our park is going on craigs list and contacting people. We have got a sturdy metal battleship, a flat down bar from a skate park, 2 shotgun rails, a flat bar flat down flat, and some other features

What did you search to find the rails on craigslist?

best option is to steal a tube at night from somewhere, you can ask for scrap wood from construction sites but I've always had enough extra at my house to make jibs
