not trying to sleep in my car. what are my cheapest sleeping options. I know of one hostel but you need to reserve in advance... Thoughts?
 
my bad on the vagueness. I live in sf and mainly do day trips. so it will mostly likely be for a short time like 1 2 or 3nights. I previously slept in my car or at a friends house. my friend moved so kinda stuck...

circus circus in reno is like $25/night even though its not close

other than that you could try the boreal inn if its still a thing?
 
I mean, there aren't really any cheap hotels or anything in truckee... I know Colfax has a cheap hotel or two you can probably stay in for not much, but anything further up the road is going to cost you.
