Cheap Mammoth Lodging

Does anyone have any recommendations for a cheap place to stay in mammoth close to the slopes nothing too grimy, maybe on a shuttle route or something so I don't have to rent a car.

Yeah I saw that, and looked into staying there, but still interested in a decent cheap motel/hotel.

Has anyone stayed at the Hostel? How is it?
 
The hostel is pretty amazing and the people who run it are VERY nice and legit. Definitely worth the $ to stay - not too expensive as you've noticed. Clean, warm, decent beds, all the amenities one would need in the kitchen.
