Cheap back country in colorado

i need some cheap and sweet back country in Colorado, other than san juan any ideas? thanks....p.s. already gettting a chub thinking about this season

Why not san juans? Red mountain pass/ silverton has the best backcountry in co and there anrent many people skiing it.

yeah pretty much. nobody around, and soooo much of it. but again, backcountry is free anywhere......

loveland pass u dont even have to pay for gas once you get there and half the hike is taken care of via hitchhiking.

Try skiing around Lake City (bristol head), Creede, Southern San Juans, or the Weminuche Wilderness area. THAT is fantastic terrain with even LESS people (if any at all) than Silverton/Ouray

You could always ski Berthed pass and get rides all day.

BC is always free. Just be prepared, take classes, etc. Your only as safe as the least knowleagable person in your group about avalanche danger.
