Cheap accommodation in aspen?

Ok so my parents have booked a trip in aspen assuming I didn't have time off university, but it turns out that I can so I need to find a place to stay. So basically I need a cheap single apartment/hotel room (for one). I think i have around 1000 dollars for a fortnights stay. Do you guys have any suggestions of decent, cheap accommodation? Help much appreciated!

i thought it was 3 weeks or a month...
you might be able to pull it off, but who knows, aspen is preeeeeetty much the most expensive place in co to find housing, especially once the season is underway and demand starts outstripping supply
as a general rule, extended stay housing for the season in CO (anything more than like a week) jumps 25-40% in price starting around late september and early october...
also, while it's common to find super short-term stuff like what youre looking for during, say, august (because people are leaving for a month or so before the season starts and want to fill their rooms for a couple weeks to avoid rent) it's more rare to find a situation like this when the season is underway. you might get lucky though and find someone whose roommate got fired and had to move out mid-month or something
but dont hold your breath

oh yah and i hope your parents are going to help you out with food and lift tickets, cause that's 1000 dollars right there for just a week if you dont have it covered already, so you can forget about having any money left over afterward
