So this post on instagram claim ChaptGPT made these edits:

makes me think you’ll be able to throw in clips and define the style your looking for and it will piece it together while enhancing the footage. Idk how functional it is but could make rapid edits a thing of the future.

would be sick to have a comp where you had a day to stack as much footage as you could and submit an edit by midnight.

This sort of exists already on phones and computers, adobe has been using AI for years for color correction, music, audio fixes, etc.

I still think the human touch will be necessary for comprehensive storytelling, but a quick reel of some ski shots could be enhanced by AI pretty easily and it will definitely be better than doing nothing.

AI is goddamn scary lol

its only scary because every fucking news article about it is acting like its going to end the world lol. we are very in control of AI currently and it won't get worse until we decide to let it get worse. we literally control it, it is a computer, until the computer can self sustain itself, we don't have much to worry about. Of course it could be used in negative ways, but that goes for every new technology.

AI is going to be leveraged in so many good ways, it will change how we live every day life in the next 10 years.

If you're referring to the bullshit "The Bunch" has been putting out, I fully welcome AI to take over.

I don't think this is real, ChatGPT is just text based responses. If you type that request it will tell you the ai's limitations and give you video editing tips in text form (which you can see if you pause the video, also dragging a clip to the entry field will just make your browser download the clip which can also be seen in this video).

ChatGPT has more applications than a simple text input. It's used to generate so many more things than text, I wouldn't be surprised if this dude knows someone who created a tool with chatGPT to make these video changes. You can't just "give" something to AI and expect to get back what you want, you have to train it to do what you want.

It is just text input and output, it can spit out text to use in other apps, like midjourney for photos, or electronic mail correspondence, or lines of code. The process in this video is faked. When he inputed the request it gave him general editing tips, it didn't spit out code or anything to use in another ai. Again, you can see it if you pause the insta video. Or simply try it yourself, it's free.

AI right now Isn't scary because of potential future world domination but rather its being exploited by people to produce mass amounts of uninspired AI generated content in order to make money on the internet. This threatens to drown out the quality content created by real people. There is a ton of Youtube channels that solely produce videos with AI scripts, AI narrators and AI graphics. 5 years ago everyone thought AI would take over menial manual labor jobs and allow for humans to explore creative outlets not the other way around

completely realistic that you could create a tool for that though, thats the beauty of Ai, you can do anything.

bruh content has been shit tier since instagram introduced videos, tiktok took it to the next level. ppl who complain about AI ruining content haven't been paying attention the last 10 years.

That's short form content which has always been flooded with shit. I am referring to the youtube channels which find a niche and then copy the popular channels in that niche eventually out competing them by flooding the algorithm with AI generated clickbait and generic videos. This was a issue before the prevalence of AI but the use of ChatGPT to generate scripts and voice emulators to read them has allowed these channels to produce these videos in a such a large volume that they can abuse the algorithm and spread their spam content.
