I'm sure you all know who Chase is, and are familiar with his LIVE series, each month he hosts a live stream interview with a special guest involved in the multimedia industry.

This month, Chase welcomed pro snowboarder Travis Rice and Brain Farm Cinema Executive Producer Chad Jackson to The Garage to discuss making films, photos & life different, not just better.

 
Lets be honest here. Art of Flight had great images but its basically built on the same model as every other ski/sb film. They go on trips, we see general shots of plains and trains, and then the music starts and we see riding for the next 5 minutes. LIKE EVERY OTHER FILM.

If you want a ski film that actually changes perceptions and questions the purpose of making ski films and how it impacts the environment see "All.I.Can." by Sherpas Cinema. Its a carbon neutral production (which Art of Flight most definitely isn't) , so the crews rely on skins and sleds to pull gear into the backcountry. This film gives a broader meaning to "ski films" and shows how our actions are impacting the environment that our sport is based so much on.
 
All I Can is definitely one of the most progressive ski films to date. I think the reason ski and snowboard films fit the general pattern you talk about is because that is what people want.
 
Exactly. Although Art of Flight is pretty cool, its basically Red Bull claiming how big their dick is the whole time. "Look at us we have 5 helicopters for 2 doods riding".
