well it could have been a jump onto a butter pad made out of snow. dont be a dick. i mean it was a box, but just because there was a jump doesnt mean that it cant be snow.
 
charles is ahead of every park skier out there period. he is on his own level and its fucken insane. he's brought so much to the sport in the style factor of it and his tricks that are def. skater influenced are..WOW! so damn amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
His clothes weren't super baggy! I'm sure that accounted for his speed when clearing jumps. And that thing at the end had me rewinding the video like twenty times, thats what tricks should do, make you look back and think twice.
 
so i watched it againand realized that it was in fact a snow thing at the end and not a box. that makes that trick so much sicker.
 
The thing wasn't a 3ft wide box or a box rail like everyone is saying -- it was a full sized portable trailer thing like they use for offices at construction sites... about 10 feet wide.

The course was pretty original with the big step up, etc. Props to the organizers.

The biggest problem with this crap isn't that he does it but that people actually try to take it seriously. It's not. It's a joke.

Yeah, well, you're wrong. Let me guess, you're from Ontario? Yeah, Ontario is infect by Quebec because you two are touching. The disease that is Quebec skiing is contagious and thanks to all the transfer of skiers from ON to Tremblant (because you guys have no mountains) is making things even worse. It's like an STD of horrible painful it hurts to watch bad park skiing. They might as well drop the poles next.

Quebec is getting so out of hands it's actually pissing off the snow gods. So, East Coast, now you know who to thank.

a fucking homos thats say we should try to progress are sport not like rollerbladding what do you what use to do now... skateboarding and blades have been there before freeskiing.. before it was even in the mind of people... they already have a shitload of grinds so why not take them for granted and do it on skis. try to invent a grind that no other sport has down before it would be hard if not imposible

hes really good, but some of the stuff he does is just so gay, yeah that wierd trick thing would be hard but it looks so retarted.
 
im not sure about that last trick either, but lets put it in perspective. the kids thrown down an almost technically perfect run (except for one safety), hes managed to broken grind that top rainbow which looked sick, hit every landing like he was doing a straight air, and pulled something at the end which obviously none of us have ever seen before.

Its not like he did a daffy twister spread over a t-top. I hate seeing shit style in the park too, cos it erodes the respect weve had to work hard to earn back since the days when skiing was dominated by twits in fluro headbands skiing bumps, but he made that move look as smooth as it could be done and still threw a 3 out of it. i sure as shit wouldnt even attempt that.

i dont think that move is gunna be in skiings future, but props for at least trying something that no other fucker out there wants to try.
 
ive shown that to a ton of my friends (only one skis) and every single person thought it was insane. even snowboarders. im pretty sure charles gagnier is doing everything but make skiing look retarded. how would you feel if every snow boarder just 5050'd every rail with the occasional 180 on or off. that would be lame. thats basically what alot of skiers do. i mean like there are reversed directions and shit that are all super hard. im not denying that. but it all LOOKS the same.

someone like gagnier comes in and makes everybody say "WHAT THE FUCK?" and rewind the video. id bet that at least 90% of the people that saw that did that.

i want to see every thing that is humanly possible done on rails, including reverses, pretzels, switchups, nollies, lipslides, 1 footers and even rollerblader grinds.
 
here here! if AR5 or whatever his name is that concerned with park skiing, just imagine if he lived in a place where the park was the only thing to do... like ontario and quebec... he might just have to kill himself before his vagina bleeds out!

I love Gagnier, and Ced, and a lot of the Quebec guys including Plehouse, no doubt, but some of the stuff they're doing lately(more so gagnier) I don't like personally...maybe you do. That's cool. I'll do what I like and say how I feel, and you do the same, just don't act like you can defend one thing, but shoot another thing down, just because it's a bit more of a norm. Don't pull that shit. Please.
