Chaps gap or pyramid

yeah dude, that anonymous claim must be so important to him.

look, as a poster i hate the OP, i mean the kid sends me hate PMs. but you guys are acting like a bunch of jerkoffs

ok you tell me what's constructive about some douche who claims to be an amazing skier but with no proof then goes on to say he's going to hit chads, cold turkey, with no legit advice, this winter BUT has to let everyone know about it first. oh and apparently he fucks cans of red bull in his spare time because he lives life to the fullest and constantly on the edge. extreme chad at its finest.

i agree. he keeps comparing himself to creedman and montanakid except they didnt come on here claiming shit, talking about how good they were and how they knew they could do it. all they wanted were directions. regardless of whether you hit it or not, your still a claiming tool.

Regardless of what anyone says, I made this thread with no intention of claiming how "good" i am at skiing. I made it in order for people to take this seriously they need to know I'm a good skier. Not just anyone can go and hit chads or pyramid, and I know that.

I made this thread to get information from people that have hit the gap or have seen people hit the gap. I've received a few pm's from people with very helpful advice for when I do it (from people who have hit chads and pyramid themselves). To me that's all I'm looking for is advice from people that have experience with it. How else do you expect me to come across the people that have PM'd me without a starting a thread about it?

Why is everyone being so hard on this kid? Everyone is calling him douchebag and shit which is just a little uncalled for.

The kid is definitely not bragging, just trying to establish some kind of base for what his skiing ability is, and asking for advice from anyone who has done it.

And skiierman was right. We have NO idea what his skiing ability is like, which brings up a good point - who are we to criticize him?

It's dangerous as all hell, and I'm sure he's gotten that message from this thread. Videos and pictures would be good for us to judge your skill level, but when it comes down to it, only YOU know if you're prepared for it.

Some videos have been posted of people slamming into the backside of the gap, and it seems to me that with enough snow, you'll be ok.

^Thanks man that's exactly how I feel about people criticizing me. As for coming up short, I've seen the videos too of people shorting and being fine. Tanner's was pretty much worst case scenario from the bails that I've seen. However, before I hit it I'm gonna try and be overly confident that I'll atleast get over the knuckle (I really don't plan on shorting it), but I'm sure everyone else that came up short didn't intend to either. I'm gonna try and over estimate the size of the gap because I'd rather take it deep than come up short.

i would be down to hit pyramids. how bigs that even? but yeah fuck chads that shit looks deadly. pyramid on a powdery day looks realy safe to exept the bump at the end of it

To get to either of them youll need to confront MFM and his guardians but to do that your going to need access to your level 41 fire mage skills and everyone knows that takes months of playing to get to

just an update, it's going down for sure now, i got five other shredders that are in for it and we've dedicated our spring break to it. get stoked

truth! tangerine dream...ah what an epic movie/session with sage. one of the first videos that got my hooked on skiing and made me move to utah!!

Wow braahhh sounds like its gonna be totally epic. Im getting stoked as I type this for something that probably wont happen 4 months from now.

hey man, i believe in youi dont even know you but you seem to have the right mindive never seen chads in real life but by reading this thread and the other im thinking you and your buds should spend a little more then a day on the lip/in runno hate at allnut up or shut upand if you need a filmier and i can get out there ill gladly gogood luck man!

Pyramid is going to get built within the next few weeks. When no one is using for filming anymore you could go dust it off? Honestly, I think you'll get to the top of it and realize it's too big but then again, NS has been wrong before...

if you actually do hit it ,

dont tuck in the inrun because at one point your gonna go so fast that the G force is going to hold you down and going off the lip sitting down on your skis is going to fuck you up if you short it , like fucking up you spine or neck big time

wow i was just about to bump this thread and saw people were already on top of it!

Update: Went down to SLC in March and found the gap no problem at all. Talked to some locals about the location, etc along with some tips from a few people on newschoolers (some of whom have hit the gap). There were 6 skiers in total and one snowboarder. We worked on the jump/in run for 1 day, but took it pretty easy. It took only about 6 hours to get it all set up and ready to hit. We threw salt on the in run overnight so it would be fast the next morning. Luckily the next day was awesome weather and my buddy Ryan decided he'd guniea pig it. He landed a bit deep and washed out in the landing. 4 of the 6 skiers ended up hitting it and landing it, Ryan later on tried a dub backflip. I stuck to straight airs but did do a screamin seaman to stomp! We're saving the footage for a movie releasing next fall but I did keep my promise and got Gopro footage (just of a straight air) which I will be posting within the next day or so. Cheers!

I find it hard to believe that you "forgot" about this thread for 4 months after you hit it. No ones going to believe you unless you post a video.

i know a bunch of kids who could win X if they were at the same level that they are right now , but in the early 2000's
