Changing your own din?

Hi, I was just wondering if it would be a bad idea to change my din from like a 4 to a 6 or so on my old little skis.

I used them when i was like 5'5 100lbs, I'm now 5'10 130lbs...

Gonna be using them on a little skate rail setup in my front yard i made w/ surplus snow.

Is it ok to do it yourself and not get it pressure checked w/e the other shit is they do at the shops or is it unsafe?

If the chart says you are a six and don't mind taking the risk there is no problem doing it yourself. That said, if you've had the skis for a while it might not be a bad idea to get the bindings checked at a shop. I've had bindings that I adjusted myself, but it did absolutely no good because the bindings were shot. No way for me to confirm that, but the shop did.

Just the fact that the binding adjusts down to 4 means you should not touch anything.

Chances are the forward pressure will have to be changed as well, especially if its a marker.

You have probably changed boots since then anyway, so a remount is probably in order.
