Changing bindings from Factory to freestyle

I've seen a second hand pair of ARV 96's that I want to buy. The only issue is the marker griffon bindings are mounted at factory recommendation. If I want them freestyle mount, will I have to re-drill them and will that be possible?

How far back is factory? Probably won't need to remount if it's like 2-3 cm back from center

Is your boot size the same? It Depends on how far the difference is between those 2 lines and what the boot size difference is. You might only need to remount the toepiece and not the heel. Might even get super lucky and not need to remount but thats super unlikely.

We need to know what the difference is between those 2 lines. What the original mounted boot size is compared to yours. And how far back on the adjustment track the original boot sits.

No once a ski is mounted that is that. Drilling more holes destroys the structural integrity of the ski and makes the ski absorb water like a sponge

ARV's rec line aren't very far from center. It's going to cost you for a redrill/mount to get it to center. Griffons only adjustability is in the heel piece, and it's only about a boot size forward or backward, but the toe doesn't move. If you want them on dead center, you will have to remove the bindings, fill the holes, drill new holes over center, and remount the bindings. Like I said, ARV's are pretty close to center already, you won't notice any difference moving your bindings forward a couple of centimeters.

i agree ARVs' mount point isn't far back enough to be an issue at all (actually i think it's perfect) but we don't know, he might have to have them re-mounted anyway due to boot size difference right?
