tomorrow...monday...any one work there or know? even if its just one run ill be there...meaning grouse seymour or cypress

im pretty sure. i mean i went to slide box on seymour. and instead of white stuff falling from the sky it was something else. i thought it was rain. but maybe i just couldn't tell the difference becuase of all the rain pounding into me.

One thing that you obviously are yet to learn is the fact that the Lower Mainland's local mountains, especially Grouse, enjoy utilizing deception.

For example, last year, I was apparently skiing on a 125cm base, but for some reason I could see brown patches and rocks all over. When it's raining up there, rarely do they say "Raining" on their reports. They simply don't mention it and leave it for you to figure out. Of course, if it's snowing, they'll advertise that to the high heavens. In addition, when they say they got 30cm, it's probably closer to 10cm.

i agree about them lying about the base but i was up grouse on friday night and there was at leats a foot and a half of snow and it was dumping

plus the skyride operator said if this kept up then they would open by friday

Uh-oh, I have a moral dilemma...

Important Soccer Cup Game

or

Grouse Opening Night...

Ooooooh I can't resist the snow...

i believe that sometimes they lie about the rain and snow but they do not lie about the snowfall. you have to minus about 20cm off there given snowfall becuz they measure it how it has fallen and not compacted. no one measures it that way, not even whistler. or atleast not any of the local vancouver mountains meaning seymour cypress grouse and whistler. if they did there "snowfall" would be way less.

FUCK YES! CYPRESS OPENING THURSDAY AND OTHER @ MOUNTAINS SHOULDNT BE TO FAR AFTER. only one problem. they are only open til 4 and i have school. im hopin they will extend that time til like 8 atleast.

not true if you go to the whistler snow report it says that there base is 65cm and the total snowfall is 132cm in the last 7 days.

I don't know about Grouse dude, although they said they'd open soon, the Red Skyride is closed until the 24th, and they're going to have a hell of a time with the Blue Skyride on opening day. I suppose it's possible to pull off, but you never know man, the asians come back with greater numbers every year...

Does anyone know if Grouse's night skiing opens along with its day skiing, or do they do just day skiing for a while, then open their night skiing?

For instance, Cypress only has day skiing open right now. Anyone know when they open night skiing?
