Does anyone here go to Champlain College? If so how do you like it? I will be applying here and possibly attending in the Fall of 2008, Just want some comments on how you like it. Thanks

i just visited there and i felt the campus was too small, but they had some sick deals for seoson passes. it was either free of 30 dollars for a season pass to 3 mountain. i cant remember the price but it was super low. jay peak, mad river glen, and bolton are what i believe the passes were. such a sick deal

its pretty legit if its your style. the way it seems to me is UVM is for the masses and Champlain is more for whoever doesnt want to be part of a huge school. i dont really know how to describe it, i guess its just like your tour guides probably said, its more personal. the upside down curriculum is legit if you know what you want to do, if youre undecided though, its probably not the best.... what else is there... uhhhhh... oh, fuck core classes, but they arent that bad, youll get over it.

I can't speak much for Champlain as I've been at St. Mikes and UVM for the past four years, but Burlington is a great college town to spend some time in. Your have 6 mountains with-in an hour of school, some great snow and trees good food and hippies you cant go wrong with this town.

you mean like a lot of shitty overpriced outdoors? tru

just dont go to St. Mikes that would b something you would probably regret right away

yeah...for flatlanders and college kids who don't know any better.

If you want a real job in the Burlington area, champlain's a better bet than UVM. Champlain pushes their continuing ed program really hard and it makes their company relations in the town are far better than UVMs. I can only think of about 4 kids in my graduating class from UVM that're working in their major in the Burlington area.

yea im between champlain and johnson state right now. seems like johnson state is in the middle of nowhere though...

Go to champlain if you want a real job after school. I know a bunch of people who went to Johnson State and it hasn't done much for their careers accept make them jump from job to job barely making $12/hr.

i go to uvm with friends at uvm and johnson, i would vote champlain over johnson in a heart beat both academically and extra curricularly with what is in the area.

champlain is cool if you know what you want to major in and they have it, i.e. graphic design, video game stuff, or whatever else. otherwise uvm is your best bet
