does anyone keep up with the champions league in europe? who do thinks gonna win: liverpool or ac milan??

There's a newschoolers soccer cult. If you're interested I think Sashac is the one in charge of it. We talk about this kinda of stuff there. Anyway, I bleed Liverpool red and have done so since I was a little boy, so I am cheering my boys on. I really believe that Liverpool can beat AC, but the Kop proved to be a 12th man against both Chelsea and Juve. I'm not sure what 'pool can do with out the Kop there to support them. Still I will pray to the Soccer gods every day until the 25th that Liverpool will win that game. That and that Michael Owen will return and Pavol Neved will decide to leave Juventus for a red jersey.

they are saying that if liverpool wins it, there is a chance there will be 5 premiership teams in the cl next year. the last time this happened, it was in spain i believe, and the cup holders did not qualify during the previous season, so one of the qualifying teams from their leauge was bumped. what do you think they shoudl do, if this occured?

No the english fa has already made it clear that only the top four english teams will go to the champions league, Chelsea, arsenal, mu, and everton. So even if liverpool win they wouldn't be allowed to defend their title. I believe that ac will win, but would love for liverpool to win. I would like to join the soccer cult so can I be invited.

And the although FA and EUFA have both said that they won't change anything, both sides are trying to pursuade the other to change it. Both sides want to see Liverpool in the Champions League next year (if they win). Even some Everton officials want to see Liverpool in.

Chelsea would've taken it had it not been for that clown of a referee.

But whats done is done and Liverpool will go on to win, but not be able to defend there title allowing me to laugh hysterically at all you Red's fans.

My reds will win it this year, then they'll win the premiership next year and the Champions Leauge again the following year. I'm telling you. This is just the beginning. The glory days are returning to Merseyside.

That play is the worst thing to complain about. Peter Chek (sp?) fouled Baros and should have been carded for that. Even if they didn't count they goal, a penalty should have been awarded. Also, he called some soft fouls on Liverpool and let some hard ones go against Chelsea. I think Chelsea fans need to get over it. If you can't score a goal in 180 minutes of football, then you can't complain about being robbed. It's as simple as that.

i saw ac milan play two novembers ago in milan it was incredible they beat some shitty team 2-0. shevchenkov scored both goals he is sweet on fifa 05 too.

 
No The glory days are coming to Stamford Bridge unless those carpps at UEFA keep interfering. And I can complain about that goal, if I recall correctly some Liverpool players even admitted to being extremely fortunate about it. Also that ref kept calling fouls on Liverpool because he knew his dumbass had been wrong about the goal. Thats probably why there were 6 minutes of extra time, a totally outrageous amount if you ask me.

LIVERPOOL!!! My reds have been down and out this year in the premiership, but when it comes to Champions League the reds can play. We are gonna win the trophy for a 5th time and hold on to it for keeps and force UEFA to make a new one. After a 20 year ECC drought we are back and with Rafa (thier manager) we gonna become the best team in Europe once again and for years to come

yea i agree i with rebel, id have more respect for chel$ki if Roman Abromovitch (or however you spell it) wasnt pumping loads of money into the club allowing it to get int debt, knowing that if worse comes to worse he can rescue the club out of his own pocket.

But congrats to them, they won their first title in 50 yeras and MAN U didnt win it. Next year i predict a Chelsea, Liverpool battle for the premiership

Chelsea deserves no respect they just buy there championships, and liverpool won't compete, they are such an on off team. Yes, they are doing good in the champions league, but what happened in the premiership. There is still a good chance that gerrard will be leaving. So realistically unless they get a whole different attitude I can't see liverpool competing for the premiership title.

Half of the new players came with Jose Mourhino from Porto, if you ask me thats a bit different than straight up buying them. So basically if you exclude the portugese players that came over with the coach Chelsea are on the same level as everyone.

Also even if LIverpool do win the CL they wont be able to defend their title. So you guys can shut up with your ''our amazing fans will help us'' garbage.

I blame Liverpool's inconsistency on two things

1) Spanish players learning to play Englands face paced game

2) INJURIES - this team was nailed with injuries like no other

There's talk of a lot of players leaving Anfield such as Gerrard, Hyypia, and Baros (sure he doesn't score much, but he does so much running off the ball he opens up opportunities for the midfield). As much as I like all these players, if Gerrard leaves it means that Liverpool will have a wad of spending money, if Baros leaves it opens up opportunities to Mellor or LeTallec who both proved they can play. The only player that MUST stick arround is Hyypia. If he stays this team WILL compete for the title next year.

Liverpool fans will be the first to admit that the teams inconsitancies have ruined their premiership run, and injuries too. Next year Rafa will have the team that he wants and the Spanish Players will have adapted to the premiership. If we do win the Champions leauge and if we are not able to defend, i think that sucks, but the UEFA, and FA have got their guidelines. So if the reds are not in the Champions league they will be able to focus even more on the Premiership.

If they don't get to return to the Champions League, they had better win the EUFA Cup.

Also im hoping Claudio Ranieri or maybe a better coach will make the move to Roma. They have great players but havnt managed their chemistry since Fabio Capello left. We'll hopefully be seing them back in the CL as soon as possible.
