I'm trying to decide if this trip to Chamonix, Franch is worth it.  It's 6 days, 4 days of skiing for $1350.  Everything is paid for (lift tickets, transportation, lodging) except food.

Anyone ever been to Chamonix?  Or have any input?  I'm just worried that going all the way to Europe isn't worth it for such a short trip.

yea its sooo sick, my friend lived in france for most of his life, and he skied there all his life, ive been there and its soo nice, there soo much variation and things to choose from

chamonix is so sick. theres just so much terrain its rediculous. but i was dissapointed when i went cause i didnt get any new snow. deff legit if theres some pow. not so much if there isnt. and look for this bar/brewery. i think its called MSG or something like that. my moms cousin owns it.

Are you referring to the trip with the UVM Ski and Snowboard Club? Yeah, its worth it. A bunch of college kids in Europe for Spring break, you can't go wrong. Plus $1350 for a trip to Europe is a steal. Airfare alone is at least 800 bucks right now since the taxes to fly to Europe is over $200.

kickass, when is your trip? I go to boston university and we are also going to chamonix france for 1350 usd , 6 night condo 5 days lift. It's over march 8th to the 15th. I'm guessing the colleges might have some discounted rates/ whatnot and we might even be going at the same time.

Well awesome, if we all go mabey I can meet some people from NS. I'm not sure If i'm going yet though, my friends really want to go to puerto rico or some shit like that, i'd rather go ski though =/

check out greg stumps blizard of ahhhs.... there is a segment from there... its pretty sweet its an OLLDDDD school ski movie ahha

It's sick but you need to know the place to get the most from it. For 4 days I don't think that's worth it.

hey man, it is sick also if you go you are super close to la cluza which has intense riding. it is also where they hold the candid invitational and guys like laurent fauv (sorry if i got the dudes name wrong) and candid ride pretty chill.

ah im going to cham to with my school over spring break, except im in highschool so ourbreak is in february, it started out just my friends organizing trips togetherso you could get group discounts, first year we went to whistler, sophomore year to SLC, last year to swizz, but this year alot of random kids are going that i know for a fact are aweful at skiing and boarding, and talk like they are gods, w/e im still going to france, with next to no supervision :-)

I'm all about going to Europe... been there a few times and everytime has been amazing... it's just that I don't know if it's worth it to go and right when you get adjusted to the time change have to pick up and leave again.  I know the price is good, but hmmmmmmmm.

Well, you could use that money and go west and ski at a "european-influenced" cookie cutter village?

I say go to Cham and love it. You can reenergize on the flight back.

Also, i never got killed by the time difference because I slept the whole flight there both times I've gone to europe.
