Red Chair Triple at Bachelor. Interesting how the downhill chairs skip some towers

Before building chets at Loveland, the old chair would have half towers, but what’s weird about that lift you’re showing is the tower on the outside instead of still being in the middle. Never seen that before.

Has anyone put in new fixies recently?? Breck put in a fixed 4 pack because its intended to get people to terrain they would lap and would not be lapping it itself. Assuming it saves energy usage as well. Has any resort recently redone a lift

or put in a new fixed lift??

The only lift I've ever seen with half towers was the old pali chair. Downhill chairs got way up there lol.

Had to get in your days when you could, they'd only be running when it's above -20!

Park City has a pretty extensive lift that is used for the alpine slide that lowers in the summer.

That’s cool for summer recreation in mind. Also think that’s the lift they slow down and use a summer only mid station if I can think of it. Theres other lifts where the actual terminals will raise and lower in regions that can get freak snow storms like the resorts in cottonwood canyon area by SLC, Pacific Northwest, and Tahoe. Its a good feature to have when your base grows overnight by 3 ft in an instance that there’d be nowhere else to put all that snow. Some serious hydraulic assemblies in the terminal supports.

Yeah summer chair speeds are less in general but especially that one as it is a detachable chair and they have to slow down the rope speed as there is no mid terminal to detach at. Breck is replacing 5 chair this super and it will be a similar situation. They are gonna run the chair right threw 4,5,6 so I DK what they are going to do for jumps

Payday. I’ve lowered that mid station before. Once with snowcat as tension and once with a dozer. Process goes quick. Half day. And line speed goes way down for summer. Stays at a fixed speed as you can just walk right on/off.
