Chair Lift Accident!

i was on the chair last week and we were stopped for like 10 min so one of the guys next to me told a story of how this happened at a hill near me. people were just eating shit at the lift bottom and skis were being ripped off left and right. so in this case....
twin tips are always a safe bet

I dont fully get how the chairs hit a wall at the bottom? but dang that really sucks, glad the injury list wasn't even higher

i just watched that video like 4 times on tgr...so fucking crazy

sucks about devil's head though, 3-5 serious injuries is bad

haha yeah!!! Devil's Head!!!!! saw tht on the news this morning!!! ppl got like rly hurt. luckily nobody died......oh haunted chair lifts.....

So if your on a chairlift and it starts rolling backward with legit speed, then jump off. But as I saw in the old video and what appeared to happen with the chair lift accident in michigan, the lift will eventually slow down?

So I guess if your more than halfway, you should stay on.

My friends cousin was there yelling at people to jump off before the bottom, but the kids that didn't listen supposedly were the ones that broke shit.

holy shit thats crazy. this is probably my biggest fear. I was actually thinking about this happening all day today riding the chairlift and i hadnt even heard about this accident until just now. weird.

fuuuuck the lift stopped the other day and started to move back slowly and all i could think of was that one video, and now this. fucking perfect...

nah, fuck YOU dude, because the injuries and lawsuits and the skiing 'industry' isnt what skiing is about. for me anyways.

watching that video I can't help but imagine people getting thrown off the chair and launched. It isnt a funny thing but the mental image makes me lol.. + vibes to anyone who got injured

So you don't give a fuck that multiple people got hurt and now a mountain is most likely getting shut down from the law-related fees?

You sound like a class act man. Wish I could be as cool as you with your "not-my-fucking-problem" type attitude.

eh. basicallly, i mean, if anything really serious, like people dying happened, then it wouldnt be funny. its more cool than funny. i mean, fuck it the world is gonna end in 2012. exactly 2 years from tomorrow as a matter of fact.

not trying to be funny...this one time I was riding a lift at my local resort that has to go really steep and higher up to break over some cliffs and I was like wow, if this thing started going backwards I'd be screwed

That is my hometown, and in my local paper there's at least two separate articles on that event. One on the overall status of D Head and one on the effect it had on two local hospitals. Crazy shit, I hope they aren't sued for more than they're worth

At least it was in Wisconsin. What do you think the results would have been if that happened on sublette quad at jackson or something similar?~
