Chads Inrun

Hey

First thing first, I know what the search bar is and it didn't help. Now to the question.

I've heard you hit about 60 mph before you launch off of chads, so that got me thinking, how long/steep is the inrun? Do they get a skidoo tow in or is it just fast?

from what you can see in pictures, the inrun is a little shorter than the gap. and it's fairly steep. course, it changes every time somebody builds a new one.

Yah that does look steep, but how long is it? It still must be a fair length to get up to 60mph, unless your going slower when you hit it.

i went to google and tried to find some info on it and all i can tell u is that pyrmids gap (chads neighbor) has a 1/4 mile inrun and the hit the 100ft at a little less speed

Chads you actually have to go 54mph to clear it, 60 and you would overshoot a little. When the snowboarders hit it last year, they had to bring a groomer up to make the inrun and it was 1 mile long. They did that because as everyone knows its harder to get speed on a snowboard. So im guessing the skiing inrun was 3/4-1 mile long.

When Candide, the Collins bros and PYL hit it in Tee Time, the inrun was on the other side of the trees closest to jump (skiers left).

In TBC though, it was the way you've drawn it.

both chads and pyramids inruns are really steep, making the inrun for pyramid at least wasn't fun.

I've seen the inrun set up as shown above, as well as one starting below those cliffs to looker's right and cutting through the trees.

actualy if u looka t the pics and what trees thall pases through they start to the skiers tight in TB not from below the cliff

watch Pop Yer Bottlez and it has a shot of Tanner droping in switch and the whole in run..he hauls ass.

I dont know it is pretty close pyramids inrun is preety damn tough to huge rollers that you go flying off.

theres a bald spot on the top skiers right of the knoll so know1 is really jumping in that direction

as most of you know you dont hit chads and pyramid dead on.

Cool pic. Could the inrun (red line) start higher up or would that just be useless. Also do you think you could carve a giant hip out of the landing and cut a tree or two down and have the aqua line as the inrun? I dout anyone would do it, or if you would get enough speed.
