its a huge gap out at alta utah, its a considerable hike from teh parking lot, its something like a 120 foot gap, u see it in alot of magizines, and alot of kids seem to think they can hit it, but never would even go near it

I was up there checking it out the other day. It's built and there is one bombhole in the landing, they came up pretty short. It will be more hittable later in the season when the inrun naturally fills in and gets blown flatter, right now the inrun is deathish. not to mention the avy danger right now is real bad. Ballroom at alta slid really far and knocked over a shitload of trees at 9:30 this morning luckily it was roped off at the time

Yes, it is hella impressive. The hike to get up there is pretty tiring, but it is gonna get hit a lot this season.

On another note, my buddy called me on friday, and said he was up at Alta with a bunch of pros for a Volume magazine video shoot. he said they went over to Chad's/Pyramid gap, and Pep Fujas hit Pyramid switch. That is insane...you know what I mean if you have ever seen anybody hit Pyramid. Pep is a ninja jedi master, apparently.

^ yup, romain de marche and travis absolutely killed those gaps, so if anyone this year is gonna film on them they better be throwing switch 7s or zero spins over em to top what the snowbaorders did. i'm pretty sure they both have been retired form ski films.

however, candide's D7 over chads still is one of the sickest things i have eevr seen (he was only like 17)

 
first of all the reason it's called chad's gap is because thought of it, then asked osteness if he'd film it. Chad Zurnikas has been a sick ass unknown for the past decade he just isn't into the scene... and if you think Chad's isn't big enough for you Leviathan is 145'plus depending on where you build the take off...(note most of the take offs built in grizzly gulch these days are pushed as close they can get them to the edge of the gap) all of this was done first by the Kris Osteness Crew years ago thoes guys were and still are sick as can be.
